To achieve full implementation of UNSCR 1540, the United Kingdom believes that outreach activities such as meeting the needs of individual States, encouraging them to develop action plans and promoting bilateral and multilateral assistance programmes are important steps. To that end, the UK stands ready to assist countries in the preparation of their national reports.
