United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)

In 2005, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) continued to promote cooperation in education, science, culture and communication among its member States. The biennial General Conference, at its thirty-third session (Paris, 3-21 October), adopted the organization’s 2006-2007 programme budget. The 58-member Executive Board held its one hundred and seventy-first (12-28 April), one hundred and seventy-second (13-29 September) and one hundred and seventythird (24 October) sessions, all in Paris.
