Malta
The National Accounts of the Maltese Islands are compiled and published by the National Accounts Unit within the Economic Statistics Division of the National Statistics Office (NSO). The NSO is the executive arm of the Malta Statistics Authority, which was set up by Act XXIV of 2000 and came into force in March 2001. National Accounts data are published in detailed quarterly news releases ten weeks after the end of the quarter under review. These news releases and all the data are available online on the NSO's official website: www.nso.gov.mt. In addition to the quarterly news releases, the National Accounts Unit also publishes, from time to time, documents explaining the revisions carried out in the data.
