Concluding remarks and links with the summit for the future
The 2024 International Dialogue on Migration (IDM) has brought to the forefront the undeniable truth that migration, when effectively managed, holds the potential to be one of the greatest forces for global good, bearing benefits for migrants, their families and all the communities involved.
Research objectives
This research aims to understand the intersection of the child protection system, migration governance and children on the move in Ethiopia, with a particular focus on child-trafficking practices in Ethiopia.
Format of the report
This report offers a comprehensive summary of the main findings of this IDM session discussion.
Participation and evaluation
The IDM was held in person on 30 and 31 March 2023 in the Trusteeship Council Chamber at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
The Momentum – the broader framework
The IOM’s International Dialogue on Migration (IDM) 2023 was held in New York (with opportunity for remote participation) over 30–31 March 2023, on the theme “Leveraging Human Mobility in Support of the Sustainable Development Goals”.
Introduction
This report represents an empirically informed migration, environment and climate change (MECC) country study on Yemen.
Recommendations
The accompanying desk review for this country study outlines the currently existing policy frameworks in Yemen to support mitigating the negative effects of climate change (McFee, 2023).
