This presentation highlights past major events and accomplishments of the 1540 Committee and outlines priorities of its future work. Full implementation of UNSCR 1540 is a long-term objective that requires improved cooperation and coordination in preparing national reports among the Committee, international bodies and States of the region. The Committee, together with the Department for Disarmament Affairs and other international organizations stand ready to provide this support to all States.
