The Inter-American Committee against Terrorism (CICTE), established by the Organization of American States (OAS), is the foremost organization within the Inter-American system to coordinate efforts to combat and eliminate terrorism throughout the Hemisphere. The Committee has partnered with international organizations and Member States in all areas to develop an integral approach and a central methodology. Among other things, it has developed technical assistance and specialized training programs in counter-terrorism legislation, border controls, terrorist financing and critical infrastructure protection.
