This year, the United Nations Study on Disarmament and Non-Proliferation Education is turning 15. This document and the partial implementation of its 34 recommendations have helped move education in this sphere forward. The world has witnessed the appearance of several specialized training centres and textbooks, thanks to the joint efforts of international organizations, Governments, universities and research centres to help address the lack of new specialists and experts on this issue.
