Effects of armed conflicts on treaties

As a consequence of the exigencies of completing various agenda items, or completing a first reading, experienced by the International Law Commission in the final session of the quinquennium, the results of the first and second reports on the present topic did not include embarking upon a first reading. Moreover, the second report was limited to a summary of the points made during the debates on the first report in the Commission and the Sixth Committee, respectively. At the fifty-eighth session of the Commission, in 2006, there was a somewhat perfunctory discussion of the second report.
