Introduction: Using ABC: teaching human rights

ABC: Teaching Human Rights aims to serve as a user-friendly tool forhuman rights education and a multi-coloured umbrella covering a num-ber of basic human rights areas. It offers practical advice to teachers andother educators who want to foster human rights awareness and actionamong primary and secondary school children, including suggestions fordeveloping learning activities. It is not meant to place an extra burden onan already overloaded curriculum but to assist in infusing human rightsissues into subjects already taught in schools.
