Conformity assessment is a collective term covering the many elements required to demonstrate that a product or a service complies with stated technical and other requrements. In general, testing, inspection and certification are considered the core conformity assessment services (see questions 59. 65. 68. and 69) and they are used either individually or collectively as circumstances demand
