The Human Rights Fact Sheet series is published by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, United Nations Office at Geneva. It deals with selected questions of human rights that are under active consideration or are of particular interest. Human Rights Fact Sheets are intended to assist an ever-wider audience in better understanding basic human rights, what the United Nations is doing to promote and protect them, and the international machinery available to help realize those rights.

This series of reports present the vulnerability profile of selected least developed countries, as mandated by General Assembly resolution 59/209 of 20 December 2004. The reports are intended for use as a background document for the Committee for Development Policy deliberations on the preparedness of these countries for graduation from the least developed country (LDC) category.

This publication has been a rich source of historical knowledge on developments, trends and achievements of multilateral disarmament for more than 40 years. In early spring of each year, Part I of the Yearbook is published containing an annual compilation of texts and statistics on disarmament-related resolutions and decisions of the General Assembly. In early Autumn, Part II is published presenting the main topics of multilateral consideration during the year, along with a convenient issues-oriented timeline.

La série de fiches d'information sur les droits de l'homme est publiée par le Haut-Commissariat des Nations Unies aux droits de l'homme, Office des Nations Unies à Genève. Il traite de multiples questions relatives aux droits de l'homme qui font l'objet d'un examen actif ou présentent un intérêt particulier. Ces fiches d'information sont destinées à aider un public toujours plus large à mieux comprendre les droits fondamentaux, ce que les Nations Unies font pour les promouvoir et les protéger, et les mécanismes internationaux disponibles pour aider à réaliser lesdits droits.

Studies in Methods (Series F) is the title of a book series produced by the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), which is part of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA). This series includes various titles that deal with the development and compiling of various statistical indicators, as well as best practices for the conducting of surveys and censuses.

UNECE’s work on sustainable energy is designed to improve access to affordable and clean energy for all and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the carbon footprint of the energy sector in the region. It promotes international policy dialogue and cooperation among governments, energy industries and other stakeholders. The focus is on energy efficiency, cleaner electricity production from fossil fuels, renewable energy, coal mine methane, natural gas, classification of energy and mineral reserves and resources, and energy security.

Les travaux de la CEE-ONU concernant l’énergie durable visent à améliorer l’accès à une énergie propre et abordable pour tous et à contribuer à réduire les émissions de gaz à effet de serre ainsi que l’empreinte carbone du secteur énergétique de la région. Ils favorisent le dialogue politique international et la coopération entre gouvernements, industries énergétiques et les autres parties prenantes. L’accent est mis sur l’efficacité énergétique, la production d’électricité plus propre à partir de combustibles fossiles, les énergies renouvelables, le méthane des mines de charbon, le gaz naturel, la classification des réserves et ressources énergétiques et minérales ainsi que la sécurité énergétique.

The Arab Governance Reports explore pathways to reform public governance, particularly in conflict-affected and fragile States, to ensure sustainable recovery and prevent further conflict. The reports call for bold reforms addressing institutional fragility, inefficiency and exclusion, to create a foundation for lasting peace, sustainable development, and inclusive public governance in the Arab region.
