All businesses have trade secrets. Original confidential information, knowledge and expertise give each enterprise a unique competitive quality and identity that enables it to attract customers. Much valuable information may appear trivial and, therefore, may not be sufficiently appreciated. Many enterprises are also unaware that trade secrets are considered intellectual property and protected by legislation or case law.
