General introduction

The present volume constitutes the second supplement to the Repertoire of the Practice of the Security Council, 1946-1951, which was issued in 1954. It covers the proceedings of the Security Council from the 710th meeting on 12 January 1956 to the 844th meeting on IS December 1958. Further supplements covering the proceedings of later meetings will be issued at suitable intervals.
