The International Monetary Fund (Fund)

The United Nations Monetary and Financial Conference met in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, from 1 to 22 July 1944, at the invitation of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The Conference was attended by representatives of forty-four countries. It drew up the Articles of Agreement providing for the establishment of the International Monetary Fund.
