In 2019, the value (in current US$) of exports of "construction" (EBOPS 2010 SDMX code SE) decreased by 2.8 percent (compared to 3.9 percent average growth rate from 2015-2019) to reach 111.3 bln US$ (see table 2), while imports decreased by 13.7 percent to reach 80.8 bln US$ (see table 3). Exports of this service accounted for 1.8 percent of total world services exports (see table 1). China, Rep. of Korea and Japan were the top exporters in 2019 (see table 2). They accounted for 25.1, 11.3 and 9.5 percent of world exports, respectively. China, Japan and Saudi Arabia were the top importers, with respectively 11.5, 9.2 and 8.3 percent of world imports (see table 3).
