In 2012, the value (in current US$) of exports of "personal, cultural, and recreational services" (EBOPS 2002 code 287) increased by 5.1 percent (compared to 8.9 percent average growth rate from 2008-2012) to reach 36.7 bln US$ (see table 2), while imports increased by 2.9 percent to reach 43.4 bln US$ (see table 3). Exports of this service accounted for 0.8 percent of total world services exports (see table 1). United Kingdom, France and Luxembourg were the top exporters in 2012 (see table 2). They accounted for 14.6, 13.6 and 9.2 percent of world exports, respectively. France, Venezuela and Canada were the top importers, with respectively 10.4, 8.6 and 6.0 percent of world imports (see table 3).
