The estimates and projections of the economically active population (EAP) presented in this document are based on the 2016 revision of estimates and projections of the national, urban and rural populations produced by CELADE-Population Division of ECLAC. The changes seen in the recent past (1980-2015) in the male and female populations by age group and area of residence have been taken into account when preparing the EAP projections, on the basis of population censuses and household surveys available on CEPALSTAT.
