为了提供所需要的数据输出，统计办公室向作为生产者、消费者和 投资者、收入赚取者的机构单位，如公司、政府单位、住户和为住户服务的非 营利机构收集基本数据并对这些数据进行转换。收集经济数据的基本机制有两 项：（a）确保能够获得已在收集的行政数据以及（b）由统计办公室直接进行 调查。但是，无论对于哪种机制，数据的原始提供者都相同，即机构单位；数 据的原始来源也相同，即这些单位保留的记录。
