Foreign assistance for agricultural development

The plans of the developing countries rely in varying degrees on foreign financial and technical assistance, and many of them are also making increasing use of food aid. All these types of aid have increased considerably during the past decade. Financial and technical assistance to the developing countries have during this period become a familiar feature of international relations. Food aid is a newer concept, but its potentialities are gradually becoming more widely appreciated.
