The metric system of weights and measures is employed in the Statistical Yearbook. In this system, the relationship between units of volume and capacity is: 1 litre = 1 cubic decimetre (dm) exactly (as decided by the 12th International Conference of Weights and Measures, New Delhi, November 1964).
