At the present time, the earnings of between 20% and 40% of the people who are employed full time in the countries of Latin America are below the minimum threshold for achieving well-being, which is equivalent to 2.5 times the per capita poverty line. The figures for those with less than 10 years of schooling are much higher, ranging between 40% and 60%.
