Published since 1948, this report examines various aspects of the previous year’s macroeconomic situation in the region and makes projections for the coming months. The study also includes country notes that review the performance of the main economic indicators in the period analysed.




In 1966 world output of crude petroleum was 8.8 per cent higher than in the previous year, with the increase distributed unequally among the different countries and regions. Africa, with 23.6 per cent, and the Middle East, with 10.6 per cent, ranked first, while Latin America lost some ground.
