In 2012, the value (in current US$) of exports of "computer and information services" (EBOPS 2002 code 262) increased by 5.4 percent (compared to 7.1 percent average growth rate from 2008-2012) to reach 269.7 bln US$ (see table 2), while imports increased by 4.8 percent to reach 128.7 bln US$ (see table 3). Exports of this service accounted for 6.1 percent of total world services exports (see table 1). India, Ireland and Germany were the top exporters in 2012 (see table 2). They accounted for 24.3, 17.0 and 7.5 percent of world exports, respectively. USA, Germany and France were the top importers, with respectively 19.9, 13.4 and 6.4 percent of world imports (see table 3).
