The term “ESCAP region” is used in the present issue of the Survey to include Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas, Cook Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Guam, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Japan, Kiribati, the Lao People’s Democratic e h t , a e n i u G w e N a u p a P , n a t s i k a P , e u i N , d n a l a e Z w e N , l a p e N , u r u a N , r a m n a y M , a i l o g n o M , s e v i d l a M , a i s y a l a M , c i l b u p e RP hilippines, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Republic of Palau, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Viet Nam. The term “developing ESCAP region” excludes Australia, Japan and New Zealand.
