After slowing rapidly in 2009, the Argentine economy resumed robust growth in 2010, with a rate well above the regional average at 9.2%. On the back of this the unemployment rate came down from 8.4% in the last quarter of 2009 to 7.3% a year later. For the first quarter of 2011, year-onyear GDP growth was 9.9%, which will provide a growth floor of 6.1% for the rest of the year.
