Why Children’s Protection From Violence Must Be at the Heart of the Post-2015 Development Agenda
A Review of Consultations With Children on the Post-2015 Development Agenda

This report highlights children’s own identification of violence as one of the biggest obstacles to their healthy development. Governments, local decision-makers, parents, civil society organisations and businesses need to respond to children by taking decisive action to protect them from violence in all settings and at all times. Children need to participate in the shaping of a future sustainable development agenda and have a critical role to play in creating non-violent societies and preventing violence.
