INSTAT is the most important agency for the collection of Albanian macroeconomic statistics. INSTAT undertakes most of the data collection and compilation, with the main exceptions being that balance of payments (BOP) and banking sector data are responsibility of the Bank of Albania (BOA), government statistics are collected by the Ministry of Finances (MOF) and data for agriculture statistics are collected by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (MAF).
