Abstract

This paper provides a review of the progress made by least developed countries in the Asia-Pacific region, highlighting their diverse growth trajectories and comparing them with African least developed countries. The analysis differentiates between the successful cases of labour-intensive manufacturing in Asia-Pacific least developed countries and the commodity-driven growth of their African counterparts.
